1978 Chrysler Avenger 1.6 GL

This MK2 Avenger was built in the Chrysler factory at Linwood, Scotland sometime in early 1978. In August it was sold by Adams Garage in Aylesbury with a dealer fitted vinyl roof, optional mud flaps, a radio and was fully rustproofed. Whilst under the care of the first owner, it covered few miles and was always kept in a garage behind a house which backed onto Hazell Watson & Viney in Aylesbury. In August 1981 it was sold to a neighbour in Victoria St and was also kept in a garage however, used more regularly for the next 19 years, covering less than 40,000 miles in total. When the second owner passed away, it was inherited by the current owner of the same house. It was stored and unused for the next 20 years before being handed to us for a complete ground up restoration in 2019, which was completed in 2020. Now fitted with optional extra 'Rostyle' wheels and optional additional passenger side mirror, we have a full pictorial record of the restoration and a list of all the new parts acquired or fabricated and fitted. Few Avenger MK2s survive and according to howmanyleft.co.uk, there are just 10 GLs left on the road, and we believe this is one of the best MK2 Chrysler Avengers currently for sale.
